Q. How many times per year do you publish Country Sampler magazine?
A. We publish six issues per year, bimonthly: Dec/Jan, Feb/Mar, Apr/May, Jun/Jul, Aug/Sept and Oct/Nov.

Q. I'm a new subscriber, why did I get several issues in a row so quickly?
A. When you order a digital subscription, you get the current issue immediately. If that happens to be just before the new issue comes out, the result is two issues in quick succession. The remaining issues will then come out more evenly spaced throughout the remainder of your subscription.

Q. Is my subscription viewable via the website on mobile devices?
A. The PDFs that constitute your magazine issues are viewable on several devices via your web browser, including some smart phones. For the iPad go to the magazine website and log-in, then click on "Download The Current Issue." You’ll have the option to view the issue on the browser or you can choose to save the issue by clicking on "Save to iBooks."

If you’re accessing the issues through a Nook or Kindle Fire, use the web browser on that device to go to our magazine’s website. Log-in and you should be able to view the issue PDFs just fine.

Q. What is included in my digital subscription?
A. A digital subscription includes access to issues as they are published plus back-issue archive access while your subscription is active. You will be able to view the current issue and archives online while your digital subscription is active. However, online access is suspended approximately eight weeks after you receive notice of your final issue unless we receive a renewal.

Q. What technical requirements do I need to download an issue?
A. You'll need to have Adobe® Reader® installed on your computer before you can view your issues. Without this FREE software you will not be able to view your downloaded issues.

Q. Why can't I access the issues that were part of my digital subscription?
A. Access to any online issues or archives is available only while your subscription is in effect. Once your subscription expires, your online access is suspended until we receive a renewal.

Q. My subscription is paid and doesn't expire for a long time -- why am I getting renewal offers?
A. From time to time we do send out special, optional early renewal offers. Some offer a price discount for renewing well in advance; others offer different incentives or gifts for renewing early. If you don't want to take advantage of those kinds of offers, please disregard them.

Q. Why do I still get renewal notices when I just renewed recently?
A. Most likely, your renewal order to us crossed in the mail with one of our notices. If so, please ignore the notice. As a convenience to our subscribers, we begin sending renewal reminders about six months in advance of the last issue, one notice per month.

If you're uncertain about when to renew, you can always check the status of your account by accessing our online www.CountrySampler.com/customercare.

Q. I subscribed to a digital edition via an app on my Nook or via the Apple Newsstand on my iPad or other mobile device. Do I get access to the back-issue archives on the magazine website?
A. No, because those companies handle all billing and issue fulfillment and customer care and your subscriber relationship is with them. They do not offer back-issue archives. The only way to get access to digital back issues is to subscribe directly with us at our website, using your browser.

Q. How do I know that my credit card is secure when I order from you?
A. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software that is among the best available today for secure Internet transactions. When you place an order online, this software encrypts all of your personal information, including your credit card number, so that it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.

Q. How will I know when a new issue is ready?
A. When a new issue is ready, we'll send you an email letting you know it's available to download and provide a link to the account login page. Just enter your email address in the login box and then click or tap "Download the Current Issue."

Q. Do I need to download each issue by a certain date?
A. No, you can download an issue at any time as long as your subscription is active.

Q. Can I download issues more than once?
A. Yes, you can download an issue multiple times. You can also download the issue to both your computer and your mobile device.

Q. Can I have the issues download automatically or will I always have to do so manually each time?
A. When we send you an email notification that a new issue is available, you’ll need to log in to your account and then click or tap "Download the Current Issue." Unfortunately issues can’t be downloaded automatically.

Q. How long does it take to download an issue?
A. The length of time needed to download an issue depends on your internet speed, but generally it takes no more than a couple of minutes to download an issue.

Q. What if the download stops in the middle or I have a problem with the download?
A. There are generally few problems with downloading an issue, but if the download is interrupted or the file is corrupted, you can always log in to your account again and download the issue again.

Q. Will you be adding to your archives?
A. Yes. As each new issue comes out it will automatically be added to archives.

Q. Can I order a magazine subscription? I live overseas.
A. Yes, you can purchase either a print or digital subscription which gives you access to back issues. You can place your order on our website www.CountrySampler.com.

Q. How do I submit my home to be featured in Country Sampler?
A. If you would like to send photos of your home for consideration of a possible future professional photo shoot, please send a CD of digital photos to:

You can also respond to Editors@CountrySampler.com with a link to an online photo-sharing site such as Photo Bucket, Kodak Gallery, Snapfish or even Facebook. Include 4-6 photos of each room. Please show as much of the room as possible in each photo, as we need to see how each room lays out (i.e., furniture placement, doorway placement, etc.). We cannot get a good feel for what a home looks like if we receive only close-up photos of cabinets, displays, etc. Please also include a description of the home, including its location, age and anything major (renovations, new flooring, custom feature) that has been done. Please provide full contact information--address, phone and e-mail (if available). Submissions are non-returnable. We will not publish submitted images. They are used strictly for photo shoot consideration.

Q. How do I report potential copyright infringements?
A. You can help us to keep our prices down by reporting incidences of copyright infringement such as scanned copies of our magazines available online, via email/lists or on digital media, selling or trading of copies of our magazines or projects, etc.

Q. Do you accept advertising for products?
A. Yes, we do. Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of crafters and artisans sell their products directly to consumers. Contact us via our web site to work with our experienced and professional staff members, who are ready to guide you every step of the way.

Q. May I cancel my digital subscription?
A. We hope you don't want to, but we know circumstances change, and you may cancel online in the Customer Care section of our website. If your cancellation involves a refund, please call Country Sampler customer care at (800) 829-0425 Monday through Friday, 8-5, CT, and Saturday, 8-7 p.m. CT.

If there's a service problem or other reason you wish to cancel, of course we hope you'll contact us first and give us a chance to solve the problem without resorting to cancellation.

Q. Why did I see the magazine at a store before I received my subscription copy?
A. We mail our subscription copies at the same time as they are shipped to newsstand agents throughout the world. Newsstand on-sale dates are generally the 1st of the month of December, February, April, June, August and October. Subscribers should always have their copy by then, as they go out 2-3 weeks before the on-sale date but we have no way to control the speed of the postal system.

Q. What is your policy concerning mailing lists?
A. We regularly communicate to our customers through the mail with information and offers from our family of companies. From time to time we make our customer mailing list available to other companies that sell goods and services that we believe would interest our customers. (We do not provide customer telephone numbers to these companies.) If you prefer not to receive any of this information, or if you wish to receive only information from our family of companies, please notify us at Customer_Care@CountrySampler.us or at the mailing address on the front of this form.

If you have provided us your email address, you will receive emails with information and offers from us (and sometimes other companies) that we feel would be of interest to you.

With each of these email offers, we will provide you with a link to opt-out of receiving future commercial email. You can also opt-out of receiving future email messages from us by emailing us at Privacy@CountrySampler.us. Opt-out requests are usually handled as soon as the request is made. However, it may take up to ten days to process an opt-out request.
